Milford Sound Lodge is boutique accommodation and restaurant located in the heart of Fiordland National Park, on the shore of the Cleddau River.
Our work included preparation of a masterplan for Department of Conservation Approvals, and detailed design around the main lodge. The design manages circulation of campervans, buses and vehicles while prioritizing pedestrian access to the entrance. The outlook from the restaurant is improved by reducing the amount of hard surfacing the minimum required for vehicle movements with the remainder to be replanted and turned into natural areas.
Our proposals include a suite of signage, wayfinding bollards and furniture, an outdoor star gazing area and other sitewide improvements.
